A privately held company providing market segment leading software solutions for visual organizational charting. I was responsible for an internal home grown ERP solution, technical services and SaaS strategy.

Developer of custom SaaS product solutions based on Java, J2EE Technology on a for hire basis using a on onshore and offshore resources. Also offered services as a senior technology management consultant.

Bigwords was a venture capital based internet startup with over 70M in funding from leading venture capital firms and a mission to become the leading online retailer for Gen-X by creating and leveraging a hip brand and starting with used Text Books.

Perot Systems was an information technology services provider with more than 600 employees led by Ross Perot and based in Plano, Texas. My role was to form and lead an “Application Development” practice and create reusable “technology platforms” for leverage across multiple customer engagements. 

Corel was a public company whose most famous product is CorelDraw!, a windows based graphics application. The company also acquired desktop publisher software (DTP), Ventura Publisher. Corel went on to acquire WordPerfect and other products winning hundreds of international awards and yearly sales approaching 400M. I started as a developer on Corel Chart, then became Director, then VP then SVP and GM.

CentrePoint was a Canadian startup that secured over 1M in funds from Canadian institutions and won industry awards for its line of Fax/Telephone hardware and software add-on devices for personal computers. The company later rebranded as TalkSwitch.

Pixelar developed a line of image-processing hardware and software and had a successful consulting business designing electronic devices on spec for other startups. Customers included Corel Corporation and various Canadian government research labs.

Xitek electronics was a contract manufacturing and design company working for companies like Atomic Energy of Canada, Instantel and others. The company was eventually purchased by Instantel.
